Point of sale (POS): The location where a transaction occurs. POS software can track sales, inventory, and customer information.
Policy Statement: Refers to the Investment Policy Statement established by CollegeInvest. The Policy Statement sets forth the policies, objectives and guidelines that govern the investment of Trust assets.
Portfolio: A collection of securities-such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and real estate-that an individual investor owns.
Positive Emotion : A Feeling of pleasure that are experienced over the longest period of time.
Pre-Existing Medical Condition: Conditions that existed before a health insurance policy was issued. Not covered by some policies.
Pre-Texting: A type of deception in which the deceiver pretends to be someone else to obtain private information.
Prime Rate: The Prime Rate is defined by The Wall Street Journal as &"The base rate on corporate loans posted by at least 75% of the nation's 30 largest banks."; A good website to check loan rates is http://www.primerate.net/.
Principal : 1. An amount of money originally invested, excluding any interest or dividends. 2. An amount borrowed, or an outstanding loan balance.
Principal Balance: The original loan balance that is borrowed, not including any interested that has been capitalized and is now part of that balance.
Principal Balance Reduction: A reduction, usually calculated as a percentage, in the original balance that was borrowed.
