Spending - Heart Matters

After reviewing the Spending Head Matters section and understanding the process of evaluation required before you spend your money, you delved into Spending Heart. As in all the Heart Matters sections, this course teaches you to make spending decisions based on rational beliefs. The best path to understanding how you spend your money is developing a realistic analysis of your “Hierarchy of Needs,” and, with that analysis, recognizing to what extent you are fulfilling those needs while remaining financially healthy. Also, it is important to do an external analysis of other factors that could be influencing your spending patterns such as peer pressure or family background. Remember that a common unhealthy, irrational belief is that “You’re only as cool as your stuff.”

Always keep in mind that a higher education is one of the best paths to achieving financial success. If you always maintain focus on your spending goal, you will avoid many bumps in the road. If you feel that you are spending money in a compulsive manner, please contact Shopaholics Anonymous.

The last step to complete the Spending Heart Matters section is to test your knowledge with a quiz. Just click "Next" to begin your quiz.
