It is important to recall from the previous section that credit is not always bad, but you must identify good and bad credit before making possibly compulsive purchases that will hurt your financial health in the long run. Before making a credit purchase, always pause and analyze whether it will give you instant gratification, but long term headaches. Often, this pause, will give you a new perspective and you will avoid negative feelings that will constrain your joy—and paycheck—over the long-term.
